Silicon Motion's embedded flash controllers are designed to control flash embedded on devices using Compact Flash, USB, and SSD (Solid State Drive) interfaces.  Controllers for embedded flash solutions include controller companion chips for NAND flash components mounted on the printed circuit board of devices or controller dies paired with NAND flash components with both contained within a single packaging.  End devices with embedded flash include notebooks, Industrial PCs, GPS devices, DVD players, digital camcorders, and networking equipment.  Furthermore, all SMI embedded flash controllers are offered in both commercial temperature (0℃ – +70℃) and industrial temperature (-40℃ – +85℃) as well as long term support.
