The SM331 is a highly integrated, flexible application USB2.0 Single slot Flash memory card reader controller with USB2.0 high-speed transmission.
The SM331 provides the most competitive cost and the best performance solution and the best media card compatibility. Especially, the SM331 is designed for specific application such as: PC system, embedded system of Printers, Game consoles, Multimedia center, Multimedia TV and stand alone card reader station.
By the in-system-programming (ISP) function through USB port, it keeps the flexibility to meet the newest updated standards in a small memory size serial EEPROM 24Cxx or 93Cxx.

- 12MHz crystal driver circuit
- Build in 5v/3.3v and 3.3v/1.8v regulators for both controller and flash memory power.
- Power MosFET integrated for card slot over-current protection
- Supports serial EEPROM 93Cxx & 24Cxx interface for the flexibility of VID, PID, serial number, vender information & firmware upgrade via USB interface
- Provide two LED indicators for USB power and flash card access
- Supports suspend and resume
- Complies with USB power specifications for bus-powered devices
- Available in both LQFP48 and QFN28 package
